Dr. Subhash Nagalla, MD, FACS

Dr. Subhash Nagalla, MD, FACS, is a board-certified general surgeon with advanced fellowship training in minimally invasive and bariatric surgery. He completed his General Surgery Residency at New York Hospital Medical Center of Queens in New York from 2002–2006 and served as Chief Resident in General Surgery from 2006–2007. Dr. Nagalla then completed a Fellowship in Minimally Invasive/Laparoscopic Surgery at Cleveland Clinic Florida in Weston, Florida from 2007–2008.

Dr. Nagalla is certified by the American Board of Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS). He is also a member of the American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgeons.

After practicing on the East Coast and in the Midwest, Dr. Nagalla relocated to Texas in January 2013. He has served patients throughout West Texas since 2013 and has been caring for the Pecos community since 2020.

Dr. Nagalla is trained in open, laparoscopic, and robotic surgical techniques and provides a wide range of general surgical procedures. He sees patients and performs procedures and surgeries locally at Reeves Regional Health in Pecos, helping ensure quality surgical care is available close to home.

  • Hidradenitis Suppurativa (a chronic skin condition that causes painful recurrent boils or abscesses)
  • Inguinal (Groin) Lymph Node Biopsy
  • Laparoscopic Tubectomy/ Tubal Ligation
  • Pilonidal Disease Treatment
  • Skin Lesions (including sebaceous cysts, lipomas, moles, skin tags, and skin cancer)
  • Vasectomy
  • Wound Debridement
  • Other minor surgical procedures

 

Procedures are performed surgically and laparoscopically, with appropriate anesthesia service and pathology follow-up as required. All pre-screening and testing along with post-surgical follow-ups are done right here in Pecos.
